Dasa Silhova is an arts management professional and Ph.D. student in arts administration residing in Lubbock, Texas. She currently serves as the Manager of Performances and Scheduling for the Texas Tech University School of Music. Prior to this appointment, she was the House Manager for the Santa Fe Opera as well as Outreach Coordinator and Interim Personnel Manager at the New Mexico Philharmonic. Ms. Silhova is the founder and previous administrative director of the Vancouver Brass Collective, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the brass chamber music genre through fostering community. She holds a Masters in Management from the University of British Columbia and a Masters in Music Performance from the University of New Mexico. Ms. Silhova was recently awarded the Lamond GenNext Award by the NAMM Foundation and had research published in the International Journal of Art, Humanities, and Social Sciences. She will be presenting workshop on Redefining Careers in Classical Music by Exploring the Portfolio Model at the Big 12 Trombone Conference this spiring
