About
Dasa Silhova is an arts management professional and PhD candidate in Arts Administration at Texas Tech University, where she serves as Performance and Scheduling Manager for the School of Music. Her previous appointments include the Santa Fe Opera and the New Mexico Philharmonic, and she is the founder of the Vancouver Brass Collective, a nonprofit organization advancing brass chamber music and community engagement. Her research focuses on arts entrepreneurship education as well as historical arts management, with recent work published in the International Journal of Art, Humanities, and Social Sciences. She has presented at academic conferences nationwide while maintaining an active performance schedule. Committed to facilitating seamless operations through proactive attention to detail, she draws on her experience as a musician to support artists’ needs and help bring their ideas to life. In her current role, she prioritizes mentoring the graduate and undergraduate students she supervises, fostering their professional development and connecting them with opportunities that enrich their studies and prepare them for their careers.
